Akın Aydın

Real Asset Investments / Managing Director

Akin Aydin is a Managing Director of Egeli & Co. Group and serves on the Group’s investment committee. Prior to joining Egeli, Mr. Aydin was Managing Partner at Norm Advisory, a boutique advisory firm active in mergers & acquisitions. Prior to joining Norm Advisory, Mr. Aydin was Business Development Coordinator at Akfen Holding, a leading Turkish infrastructure investor and operator, where he led the team responsible for acquisitions, divestments, strategic partnerships and equity capital markets transactions. Prior his position in Akfen Holding, Mr. Aydin took various positions at Garanti Securities, Yapi Kredi Securities and TSKB Corporate Finance departments. During his 12-year career in investment banking Mr. Aydin advised global companies, leading Turkish groups as well as Republic of Turkey, Prime Ministry Privatisation Administration in various mergers & acquisitions and equity capital markets transactions. Mr. Aydin received an MBA from the George Washington University and a BS in Economics from Bogazici University in İstanbul.

Gulenay Ozbek Omeroglu

Gulenay Ozbek Omeroglu is an investment manager of Egeli & Co. Group as a member of the real asset investment team. Prior to joining Egeli, Ms. Ozbek Omeroglu was an Advisor at Reform Kurumsal, a boutique advisory firm focusing on mergers & acquisitions as well as turnaround management & financial restructuring. Prior to joining Reform Kurumsal, Ms. Ozbek Omeroglu was an Investment Specialist at HeidelbergCement’s Strategy and Business Development Office in Istanbul. Ms. Ozbek Omeroglu started her career at Swiss Consulting Group in New York City after which she worked for Arel Asset Management Co. Ms. Ozbek Omeroglu received an MA in Political Economy from New York University and a BS in Political Science from Bogazici University in İstanbul.

Yavuz Yay

Real Asset Investments / Senior Investment Associate

Yavuz Yay is a senior investment associate of Egeli & Co. and a member of investment team. Prior to joining Egeli, Mr. Yay was a senior business development and strategy analyst at Eksim Investment Holding, an investment holding company that has investments in energy, real estate and food sector. Prior to joining Eksim Investment Holding, Mr. Yay was an equity research analyst at Tera Stock Brokers, a sell-side brokerage house, where he performed equity research analysis of publicly traded firms in Borsa Istanbul. Prior to his position at Tera Stock Brokers, Mr. Yay was an associate at a boutique debt & equity advisory house where he performed project financing solutions to energy investors. Prior to that, Mr. Yay was an investment analyst at Merill Lynch Wealth Management (formerly Calandro Financial Services) where he performed investment analysis for the portfolios of high net worth of individuals. Mr. Yay received a Master of Science degree in Accounting and Finance from The University of Texas at Dallas and a BS in Business Administration from Istanbul University.

Barbaros Ozkok

Real Asset Investments / Investment Associate

Barbaros Özkök is an Investment Associate of Egeli & Co. Group as a member of the real asset investments team. Prior to joining Egeli & Co, Mr Ozkok worked as a corporate finance analyst at Ernst & Young, and advised both local and international firms in financial and operational due diligence and M&A projects. Mr. Ozkok has received his BA in Management degree from Sabanci University and MS in International Accounting and Financial Management degree in University of East Anglia.
